“The Island” is an architectural and urban development project based on imagination.The idea had arisen from a game, in the mind of a 12 year-old boy, who lived in Poland in the 60’s. “It all began with simple pencil drawings in a notebook at a kitchen table...”. Throughout 50 years, Marek has designed over 20 cities, first in 2D and later in 3D, and located them on his imaginary island - Marek’s Republic. The island is still growing and developing. It’s a life- time project without end.
The exhibition in the lunchroom is open for museum visitors and guests without an entrance ticket from Tuesday till Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00.
